Happy Mothers Day !!!! Things I have learnt abou Happy Mothers Day !!!! Things I have learnt about being a mom …. 💗There is no greater gift than that of your children. 💗Being a mom doesn’t have to look the same to society…. Just be you and share your love in guidance in the best of your capacity until you know better then you simply do better. 💗The sleepless nights, that was the easy part though it felt endless. Learn to cherish each stage because each stage is a beautiful gift . 💗Do not put your children in a protective bubble , it will only hinder them & not allow growth for the real world . 💗Love them … again & again! & hope one day they understand life the best they can so you can stay connected & spend endless hours within their presence as best friends … ! 💗 As they are learning & growing so are you … learn to grow individually but also together. 💗 Don’t wait for the right moment… even if it’s a hard conversation…. I always say let’s have it now so it doesn’t get harder down the road! Best part of being a mom is also spending time with my mom & realizing she was right about pretty much everything and hope one day my kids when they are my age they want to hangout with me as much as I want to hangout with the incredible woman in the photo- that I get the honour to call “mom” 💕 Have a beautiful day to all my moms ! Me & Mirrors !!! … Do you write down your goals/ Me & Mirrors !!! … Do you write down your goals/affirmations??? ⬇️⬇️⬇️ So the day I decided my life needed to change I looked at myself in a gym mirror … over 10 years now ! I mean really looked- not looked to check form or my booty 😉 … I looked at what was deep inside me… I didn’t pick up a weight that day -I simply left! I owned where I stood, how I felt and what I needed to do to change my life! You can’t change what you don’t acknowledge- maybe it’s why I put all my goals, affirmations on my bathroom mirror - I want to own where I stand every day. It is here that I will beam with pride or break down in tears … I own me in that day. Fast forward 10 years so much has changed from suburban wife/mom to full blown entrepreneur. I learnt lol meaning more so I have failed in many ways but keep going ! My cousin said to me once “it’s okay to lie down Jo, just don’t stay there!” So often I give myself the pause, the moment to break down/release then pick myself back up ! The consistent tool I use is my training - mindset & the physical! I share because though we are all different we also the same & I want you to know all the tools I give you to grown stronger physically or mentally are tools I used & still use 😉💗! Because we don’t just flip a switch and say “there done - I’m good now!” ….we are a WORK IN PROGRESS! See you on the mats … ! Practise practise practice…. I don’t believe Practise practise practice…. I don’t believe you are ever “ Too Advanced” to practise your basics & foundation skills! You must review and practise always. It is one of the things I love about training is the ego must checked at the door! Show up, do the work , be present and enjoy the SWEAT! Lots of great trainers with great cues…. Today to my clients my colleagues drop a cue or tip that you use ⬇️⬇️⬇️ ▪️One of my favourite is to get my clients to turn side ways to our studio mirrors with No kettlebell - get them to look at their arms at shoulder height (late engaged) allow arms to fall before pushing hips back - keeping kettlebell close to your power source (😉 aka - your hips) Have a great day !!
